A full year of first-year French for high school: thirty-six lessons from bonjour to the passé composé, with Courbet, Vigée Le Brun, the Le Nain brothers, Monet, Renoir, Chardin, Georges de La Tour, the Bayeux Tapestry and Champlain’s Quebec, and a verse of the Louis Segond Bible in every lesson, from Je suis celui qui suis to every tongue before the throne.
