Kindergarten Geography: God Made the Earth: My First Maps

A first, happy year of looking at the world God made, starting with a bird’s-eye map of the child’s own bedroom and going out to the house, the street, the town and the round blue globe, with sand-tray rivers, salt-dough mountains, an orange-peel earth, a jar rain gauge, the seven continents sung aloud, and every way people travel, from feet and wagon wheels to the Mayflower and the Wright brothers’ first flight at Kitty Hawk.
