Grade 7 Latin

A quarter of real reading at last: Midas and his golden wish, Paul in the storm off Malta, two strangers at a poor man's door, Cornelia showing her jewels, the freed secretary whose shorthand gave us the ampersand, Caesar at the Rubicon, a hungry fox under a vine, and the Shepherd Psalm sung in Rome's catacombs, each story opening bigger Latin: the third declension, all four conjugations, the pronouns, the perfect tense, and two real Latin texts read whole.
